ESTIMATION DE LA POLLUTION METALLIQUE CONTENUE DANS LES BOUES DE LA STATION D’EPURATION D’ANNABA, ALGERIE.

Abstract

L'analyse des boues obtenues à l'issue du traitement biologique des eaux usées dans la station d'épuration d'Annaba a été réalisée par spectrométrie de fluorescence X. Elle a permis d'établir la présence des éléments métalliques suivants : Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, As, Se, Br, Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, Mo, Cd, Ba, Lu, Hg et Pb. Aucun de ces éléments n'a dépassé la concentration maximale admissible recommandée par l'UE, permettant ainsi l'épandage de ces boues. Néanmoins, une fraction seulement de la boue peut être éventuellement répandue sur les terres agricoles, le procédé étant limité par une teneur en cuivre relativement élevée et l'incapacité des surfaces agricoles avoisinantes à absorber en totalité cet élément sans menace pour les récoltes.

Par ailleurs, une extraction sur 10 g de boue a été effectuée par 100 ml d'eau ultrapure. Trois paramètres, indicateurs de différents types de pollution, ont été examinés sur l'extrait aqueux isolé : (i) la concentration des ions nitrates (déterminée par la méthode au salicylate) était de 0,09 mg/g, (ii) la demande chimique en oxygène (DCO) s'établissait à 1,02 mg/g, (iii) le pH s'affichait à 7,99.
