Résumé

Dans ce travail, nous présentons une étude numérique du phénomène de la convection naturelle
laminaire dans un canal vertical présentant un élargissement brusque, dont les parois latérales sont
soumises à une température constante, tandis que la paroi constituant l’élargissement brusque est
considérée comme adiabatique. Les équations de conservation de la masse, de la quantité de
mouvement et de l’énergie régissant le phénomène de la convection naturelle ont été discrétises
suivant la méthode des différences finies. Nous avons développé un code de calcul pour résoudre le
système d’équations obtenues par cette discrétisation. Les résultas sont présentés sous formes des
champs hydrodynamique et thermique pour différentes valeurs des nombres de Grashof, et différentes
valeurs du seuil de l’élargissement brusque.
