for a special issue to be published in December 2026

 

Topic of the special issue:

Scientific Legal Research in the Era of Artificial Intelligence

 

Introduction:

The field of legal scholarship, like various other fields within the humanities and social sciences, is undergoing a radical transformation in its research tools and methodologies, driven by the rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence technologies and the potential they offer for research, analysis and the processing of vast quantities of legal and judicial data in record time.

 Whilst these tools have opened up promising prospects for academic researchers in the field of legal studies to enhance the efficiency of their research and broaden their access to sources and references, they have, conversely, raised a number of fundamental issues that affect the aims and scope of scientific research, foremost among which are the originality of scientific research, the standards of academic integrity, and the quality and academic nature of legal research.

It is therefore important to ask to what extent the use of artificial intelligence tools affects scientific legal research in terms of its originality, its adherence to the rules of academic integrity, and its quality.

With this in mind, this special issue serves as a scholarly forum for discussing this central issue, through the following themes:

Themes: 

1 – The originality of scientific legal research in the context of the use of artificial intelligence tools

2 – Academic integrity and the regulations governing the use of artificial intelligence tools in the field of academic research.

3 – The quality of scientific legal research in the context of artificial intelligence use and the extent of its contributions to the development of the legal field of knowledge.

 

The journal’s Advisory Board to invite researchers to submit their research in accordance with the following conditions:

1 – Scientific contributions must be submitted in English

2 – Scientific contributions must be submitted in accordance with the journal’s approved publication guidelines via the digital platform:
