This study aims to discuss the role of the endowment in financing the insurance portfolio of insurance cooperatives, and its contribution to economic development, where the insurance industry plays its leading role in protecting the national wealth and citizens and their property, it ensures that the compensation and obligations of policyholders are met in order to secure and preserve their wealth, and works to distribute the burden of danger to the total insured, through which the insurance industry seeks to pool national savings and develop and invest optimal investment in accordance with the requirements of that industry, and supports economic and social development. to the state. As a distinct financial system that constitutes a vast wealth that cannot be underestimated, the moratorium can be an essential resource for financing some sectors, including the symbiotic insurance sector, as the latter is based on interdependence among members of society in the event of a risk.
