As a result of developments in economic and social life, and Algeria's adoption of a market economy system, which led to increased production and consumption, consumers faced a diversification of goods and services, leading to a disruption in the contractual relationships between parties involved in consumer relations. Therefore, the Algerian legislator attempted to establish safeguards to protect consumers by obligating intermediaries to provide consumers with truthful and honest information about product characteristics.
