The role of corporate social responsibility in enhancing universal health coverage (Referring to some international experiences)

Abstract

يشهد العالم زيادة في الحاجة إلى تفعيل مسؤوليات الشركات الاجتماعية، نظرا لعجز الحكومات في هذا المجال، تعتبر الأزمات الصحية فرصة للشركات لتعزيز عروضها وتقديم الدعم، مما يسهم في تحسين سمعتها ومكانتها التنافسية، تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة مدى قدرة الشركات على تحقيق توازن بين المصالح التجارية والمسؤولية المجتمعية، وخاصة فيما يتعلق بتحقيق التغطية الصحية الشاملة، كما تهدف الدراسة إلى تحديد أوجه مشاركة الشركات في مواجهة جائحة فيروس كورونا وإستخدامها لمواردها لمعالجة التحديات الإجتماعية، مع التركيز على النوايا الحقيقية وراء تلك الجهود، ومدى استمرارها في المستقبل، يستند البحث على إستعراض تجارب دولية، مع التطرق إلى حالة الجزائر. تشير النتائج إلى أن العديد من الشركات أظهرت إلتزاما كبيرا تجاه المجتمع من خلال تبرعات هامة خلال أزمة كورونا وتحول في أنشطةأعمالها وإعتماد سياسات مسؤولة لحماية صحة الموظفين وأسرهم، وتعتبر هذه الفرصة فريدة لتغيير ثقافة هذه الشركات نحو قيم المسؤولية المجتمعية والمساهمة في تشكيل ثقافة مشتركة بين رجال الأعمال وأصحاب المصلحة مستقبلا. Abstract: The increasing need to activate corporate social responsibilities is evident worldwide, given governments' shortcomings, Health crises offer companies an opportunity to enhance offerings, improve reputation, and competitive position. This study examines companies' ability to balance commercial interests and social responsibility, particularly in achieving universal health coverage, it explores their involvement in addressing the Corona pandemic and utilizing resources to tackle social challenges, focusing on true intentions and future sustainability, the research draws on international experiences and also examines the case of Algeria. The results indicate that many companies have demonstrated significant commitment to society through substantial donations, transformed business activities, and responsible policies to protect employees and their families health during the corona crisis, this unique opportunity fosters a cultural shift towards corporate social responsibility values, contributing to a shared culture between businesses and stakeholders in the future.
