Humanitarian Intervention in the Light of the Efforts Made by the International Committee of the Red Cross

Abstract

Humanitarian intervention is among the most prominent topics in international law given its interaction with its most important principles and legal rules. In this context, this study is divided into two sections; The first axis deals with its most important theoretical aspects and legal justifications. Whereas the second axis focuses on the International Committee of the Red Cross and how it is related to humanitarian intervention, with an emphasis on its role in implementing humanitarian intervention operations. This study concluded that humanitarian intervention is an important issue that raised a lot of controversies.
