Abstract

The doctor is obligated not to perform any medical work until after obtaining the patient’s consent, but this consent is not counted unless it is the result of a conscious and informed will, which requires that the doctor inform the patient about everything related to his condition, the treatment he intends to apply, and other options, if any. . This commitment is the best way to maintain trust in the patient-physician relationship. This obligation is a general principle approved by the ethics of the medical profession with regard to medical work in general, and stipulated in the texts of the Health Protection and Promotion Law, and it is an obligation due to respect for the patient’s will and humanity, and his failure to apply the provisions of responsibility to the doctor, whether in the case of medical error, or even in The absence of this error.
