"The Nullity of Unfair Terms in Insurance Contracts in Light of Article 622 of the Algerian Civil Code

Abstract

Article 622 of the Algerian Civil Code stipulates the invalidity of a range of arbitrary conditions that are provided by the insurance contract, as they cause damage to the interests of the insured, without the latter being aware of them and knowing their dimensions, which deprives him of the amount of compensation. Form and subject matter when they are received by the insurance contract, and their effects will be nullified without invalidating the contract of insurance as a whole.
