Abstract

Abstract: The documentary credit process is of great importance in the field of foreign trade, as it is a system for settling international trade contracts, which is adopted by commercial banks because of its advantages that are important as an important payment method in foreign trade, as it is a financing means, in addition to being a guarantee tool, between The parties to international contractual relations. Therefore, the documentary accreditation process has become a must in all national legislation. The article aims to highlight the assessment of the efficacy of the documentary credit process in the field of foreign trade by assessing it by determining its positives and negatives and considering the extent of its sufficiency and effectiveness.
