Abstract: The study aims to know the legal protection given by the legislator to the depositing public, first when concluding a deposit contract and the bank carrying out its activity normally, and secondly when the bank is exposed to the risks of bankruptcy, as the legislator dedicated to this a system to guarantee bank deposits to compensate depositors for their deposit. Deposits covered by the guarantee and the procedures taken to obtain compensation, reviewing the maximum deposit coverage limit, adopting a preventive control system for the guarantee fund to reduce risks.
