EFFET DE LA PARATHYROÏDECTOMIE (PTX) SUR L’EVOLUTION DE LA PRESSION ARTERIELLE CHEZ LES RATS MALES ET FEMELLES DE SOUCHE SPONTANEMENT HYPERTENDUE (SHR)

Abstract

L’ablation chirurgicale des parathyroïdes (PTX) effectuée au sevrage ralentit le développement de l’hypertension chez les rats mâles de souches Lyonnaise (LH) et spontanément hypertendu (SHR). Dans ce travail nous avons cherché à étudier l’effet de la parathyroïdectomie sur l’évolution de la pression artérielle systolique (PAS) chez les rats jeunes et âgés mâles et femelles de souche SHR. Les valeurs obtenues du calcium plasmatique total (mmol/L) mesurés à l’âge de 6, 10, 22 et à 36 semaines indiquent une diminution significative (p<0,001) de la calcémie (d’environ 30 %) chez les rats parathyroïdectomisés (PTX) mâles et femelles, avec un redressement significatif (p<0,05) de la calcémie avec l’âge chez  rats femelles. La PTX ralentit l’élévation de la pression artérielle (p<0,01) chez les rats jeunes et âgés mâles SHR, par contre la PAS n’est pas significativement modifiée après parathyroïdectomie chez les femelles et durant toute la période d’essai. En conclusion, l’absence de l’effet de la parathyroïdectomie sur l’évolution de la PAS chez les rats jeunes et âgés femelles est probablement liée au redressement de la calcémie et à l’implication directe et/ou indirecte des facteurs biologiques liés au sexe qu’à la souche hypertendue SHR.
