Abstract

Every novel has its own specificities that emanate from the writer's spirit : his humanism, his needs, his desires and aspirations. Therefore, writing participates in this artistic creativity that we witness in the narrative of the self, where its uniqueness makes it even more open to otherness. This is what Fouad Laroussi's novel "Pavillon Claude Monet" offers as a vision of the world and also as imagination. This self-narration is interspersed with reflections on the self and the other, the problematic of identity/otherness, interculturality, and also intermediality, highlighting the uniqueness of writing the self, about the self, about the other, its reception and a whole horizon. The objective of this article is therefore to show how this narrative thinks about the quest for the self and otherness as well as the involvement of intermediality on an aesthetic and also semantic level.
