Throughout urban history, the spatial configuration of cities has obeyed criteria that have shaped it according to the societies that have inhabited them. The dead end; this space with various connotations showed attributes that can be found at different times, revealed remarkable socio-spatial qualities. Through the quality of social receptacle that the impasse ensured the experiences lived by the inhabitants of the medina of Constantine, with whom we carried out a survey which highlighted the role and place of the impasse where relations of sociability, solidarity and mutual aid were essential.
