Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the level of mentel health and the differences in its levels based on gender, economic status, and social status variables. Additionally, the study aimed to uncover differences in depression levels based on gender among graduate students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample consisted of 58 male and female students. The Arabic version of the shortened DASS21 scale for anxiety, depression, and stress was utilized. Following a descriptive methodology, the study found that mentel health level among the sample individuals was low. Furthermore, differences in mentel health were found among graduate students based on gender, favoring females. Similarly, there were differences in depression levels, also in favor of females. Additionally, differences in mentel health were present based on economic status, favoring unemployed individuals. Finally, no differences in mentel health were observed based on social status.
