Abstract

This article highlights the proliferation of literary productions in Algeria, engaging in a dialogue with Albert Camus, a literary phenomenon testifying to the influence of this author on contemporary Algerian novels. The significant controversy surrounding the Nobel laureate has paved the way for reflection and literary expression among Algerian novelists. "The Stranger," a major work by Camus, whose narrative unfolds in colonized Algeria, represents a literary and philosophical legacy that prompts Algerian writers to respond to the murder of the unidentified Arab. The so-called "Camusian" novelists contribute to advancing art and scriptural creativity in Francophone Algerian literature. This literature, born from Camus's influence, develops signifiers in favor of a deeply semantic and rhetorical literary productivity.
