University professor's representation of the requirements of the quality of scientific research in the Algerian university

Abstract

This study aims to reveal representation formed by university professors of the requirements of the quality of scientific research in the Algerian university. For this, we relied on methodological approach, the descriptive approach, where we used the technique of network correlations of Maria Rossa with the aim of revealing each structure, contents, indicators of polarity, and the indicators of neutrality and stereotyped in the semantic field associated with social perceptions, and we applied them. The study was conducted on a random sample of 10 professors at the University of Constantine 2, more than10 years experienced. We used two special statistical indicators: the polarity index (P) and the neutrality index (N) to collect the implicit elements that make up their conceptual field about the requirements of the Algerian’s research quality which are formed according to their perceptions of: funding, technique all means, forums, Creativity, mining, communication, faculty, laboratories, research facilities.
