الملخص

عند اكتشاف النفط سنة 1859 لم تكن له سوى استخدامات محدودة، لكن مع مرور الوقت أصبح النشاط الاقتصادي يعتمد عليه بشكل كبير، هذه التبعية أصبحت مصدر قلق بعد الأزمات النفطية المتعاقبة، ودفعت بالمختصين وعلى رأسهم الجيولوجيون والاقتصاديون لتناول مسألة ذروة انتاج النفط. يهدف هذا المقال إلى تحليل حجج أنصار نظرية الذروة النفطية وانتقادات المعارضين لها، بالإضافة إلى تحليل العوامل التي يمكن أن تلعب دورا مهما في تحديد المكانة المستقبلية للمحروقات في الاقتصاد العالمي والجزائري، وقد توصلنا إلى أن هذه المكانة سوف تتأثر أيضا بعدة عوامل غير جيولوجية وليست مرتبطة فقط بالتقديرات الحالية لحجم الاحتياطات من هذه الموارد.
